Adfinis was founded in Switzerland in 2000, guiding clients in operating vendor-free Linux systems. In the same year, SyGroup was also established – a company building custom Linux servers for small local firms in Switzerland. Over the years, these two companies realized that they could both benefit from each other’s expertise and eventually joined forces in 2012. As one company, it didn’t take them long to become leaders in the Swiss open source field. Initially known as Adfinis SyGroup, the company rebranded itself as Adfinis AG in 2020 and began expanding its international presence.
